What we collect, and why.
Short version: this localhost prototype does not submit or durably store application data. A production privacy policy must be approved before forms go live.

This policy describes how Hackhouse actually intends to operate, but it has not been reviewed by a lawyer and should not be relied on as a final legal document. It will be before we take payment or run the first cohort.
Who we are
Hackhouse operates hackhouse.xyz and the Hackhouse membership network from Canada. For anything in this policy, contact chris@hackhouse.xyz.
What this prototype collects
When you try the application demo
Nothing is submitted. Answers remain in React memory in the current browser tab and are discarded when you reset or refresh. The demo does not call the waitlist API, database, payment provider, CRM, Discord, analytics, or email service.
When you use the site
The development server may create standard technical logs. The current application demo creates no account and uses no localStorage, cookie, or database for your answers.
Directory listings
The directory contains information about companies, funds, and places, largely business information already published elsewhere. If a listing concerns you personally and you want it changed or removed, ask and we will do it.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal information to anyone.
- We do not share application contents with sponsors.
- We do not use your data to train models.
- We do not run advertising trackers.
Future production forms
Before Hackhouse enables an application, waitlist, payment, or introduction workflow, the production policy must name every required and optional field, purpose, consent, access role, processor, retention period, deletion/correction path, communication choice, and sharing boundary. Sponsors and investors receive no applicant data by default.
Who else touches it
This repository can be deployed with Cloudflare tooling, but the reviewed localhost application flow does not call Cloudflare D1 or an email provider. Any production processor list must be updated before collection begins.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, and withdraw consent for future contact. Email chris@hackhouse.xyz and we will respond within thirty days. If you are unsatisfied with how we handle it, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will say so on this page and, where we hold your email address for that purpose, tell you directly. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
