Hackhouse identity
The maple monogram.
One mark: a maple leaf with the HH monogram cut through it as negative space. Because the letters are holes rather than a second painted layer, the mark works in a single colour on any background.
Size
The mark must hold its silhouette down to a 16px favicon. The HH counters stay open at every size below.
Colour
Maple red is the primary. Near black and snow white are the single-colour fallbacks for constrained surfaces such as embroidery, engraving, and partner lockups.

Negative space
The HH is not a white shape sitting on the leaf. It is cut through, so whatever is behind the mark shows between the stems.
Usage
Rules that keep the mark legible and the brand consistent.
- Keep clear space of at least one leaf-width on every side.
- Never re-space or re-weight the HH; the gap is tuned for 16px.
- Never place the mark on a busy photograph without a solid backing shape.
- Never add gradients, shadows, bevels, or outlines to the mark.
- Never recolour to anything outside maple red, near black, or snow white.
- Never stretch, rotate, or shear the leaf.
